Fyodor mikhailovich dostoyevsky (1821-1881 ): the debut novel, the human condition, attracted attention with its stunning subject and distinct fiction.
with his power to display the depths of the human soul, he has earned the reputation of an important writer.
however, his later-released work did not attract much attention at the time.
in 1849, dostoevsky was arrested on the grounds of being a member of the petrashevsky group, which was opposed to the repressive regime of nicholas i.
on the verge of being strung up for the bullet, his sentence was changed to exiles and compulsory military service.
after the siberian exodus, he regained his former glory with the novels he wrote.in 1864, notes from underground, which he published in the vremya magazine, is about the internal conflicts and aspirations of a person who has alienated himself from the real world.
