19 in 1russia

In the mid-century, the land slavery was removed, the bourgeoisie was rising

The cherry orchard is a touching portrait of an aristocratic family that cannot face the reality of changing social, political and economic order in the country

The family farm, which includes a large cherry orchard, is about to be sold for debts

Along with the childhood memories of the farm owners, cherry orchards are now a thing of the past. They are incapable of being steadfast in the face of the new order and retaining their property

The cherry garden was put on stage by stanislavski at the moscow art theater in 1904

Although the chekhovian work is emphasized as a comedy, even a farce in places, stanislavsky insisted on treating the play as a tragedy

Although stanislavski is famous for bringing a natural and unpretentious approach to the russian theater, which was extremely emotional until then, he could not capture the simplicity and naturalness that chekhov wanted for his own plays. ? Promotional text1
