Product description

For namık kemal, theater is a very important genre in terms of reaching the public directly. In the game of vatan or silistre, he wants to instill the idea and love of the homeland by clashing with various feelings towards his homeland and ultimately emerging superior to all of them. During the years of the crimean war, the love that just started between zekiye and islamic bey becomes unexpected when islamic bey goes to the front. By disguising himself as a man, zekiye islam bey joins the defense of silistre, thus experiencing events where love, patriotism, and national idea intertwine on the battlefield. When vatan, also known as silistre, was first performed on april 1873, it created a great enthusiasm among the public for shows, as a result of this impact, namık kemal's newspaper, ibret, was closed, and he was also transported to magosa.

the work of the author, translated into russian and german while alive, is subsequently published in many languages.
