Product description

Thoughts for myself + remember, a happy life depends on very few things / marcus aurelius 2 books + pen *** marcus aurelius (ad 121-ad 180): he was born in rome in ad 121.

he received private lessons from the leading orator and philosopher of his time, apollonius chalcedonius.

he ruled as roman emperor from 161-180 ad. "marcus aurelius, referred to as ""the stoic emperor"", ""the philosopher emperor"", although he was a peaceful person, spent most of his reign in campaigns."

The thoughts to myself, which he started writing during a campaign against the germen tribes in the late ms 169, are of great importance, especially in terms of roman stoicism. Marcus aurelius, who had a strong belief in equality and freedom, tried to live by knowing and understanding nature throughout his empire, placing the human being in the middle of everything. In the work called my own thoughts, which can be described as a daily compilation of quotes and thoughts, he not only criticizes the previous caesars and philosophers, but also puts himself to question and conducts a self-accounting. The self-considerations, which are also fundamental to the following generations, church thinkers, and the renaissance, are a very valuable resource for understanding stoic philosophy today. "in a mortal world, what could be better than living a human life? marcus aurelius, who went down in history as the last of the five best rulers of rome, has immortalized not only with his leadership but also with his thoughts as a stoic philosopher."

Aurelius's powerful philosophy, which reminds us that a happy life depends on very few things and that there can be no higher purpose than living humanely in a mortal world, continues to shed light on the pursuit of happiness that has lasted for thousands of years in humanity, focusing on a modest, simple but happy life.
