Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Homeros'un Kızı - Modern Klasikler Dizisi

Product description

Robert graves reinterprets the odyssey in his 1955 book *the homeric hymn to the goddess*. This time, the author of the epic is not the blind and bearded homer of legends, but a young woman who calls herself nausicaa and lives in sicily. In this retelling of the ancient epic, nausikaa, a princess from the elymian people, recounts the events that unfolded in her homeland, inspiring her own life and the epic poem that homer is believed to have written today. He intends to save the throne that his enemies have their eyes on, and the future of himself and his dynasty, instead of waiting for nothing and watching what happens. "at this time, unlike the more harsh style of the ""iliad"", he wants to achieve the immortality achieved by homer by pouring into the epic poem that he said would be ""designed by a woman for women""." She sees herself as the daughter of homer, living in a male dominant system ruled by the sons of homer, who are tasked with traveling from city to city and telling the epic tales of homer.
