Product description

A fictional neighborhood, the russian quarter, that resisted being drawn into the ongoing war for many years, but ultimately had to join the fray. But the residents of this neighborhood don't enter the battle with weapons, but with their stories.

The novel, which begins with a small story from the giraffe, nonna, and the unnamed narrator, becomes crowded with stories and characters as the fiction progresses: victor ivanich, the director of the zoo, french teacher and tradesman abu ali suleyman, the hero of the neighborhood isam, the little-known russian writer arkady kozmich, the giraffe, the sparrow woven by nonna, the greyhound, the ostrich and many more... what will the residents of the russian neighborhood do when they hear the sounds of the bombs dropped on guta from afar, and one day they find this sound right next to them? Will this group, who see themselves as impartial and inactive, be able to remain detached from events? Will they be able to protect themselves from the effects of this war?
