Kırmızı Kedi Yayınları Körlük</DNTCTMS> - Jose Saramago

Product description

In an unknown city in an unknown country, a man suddenly goes blind while waiting for the traffic light to turn green at the wheel of his car. However, it is buried in a pure white space, not in the darkness. Behind it, the plague of blindness spreads throughout the city, even the whole country. Neither the management remains in the country, nor the order-all the blind are quarantined. An unimaginable chaos, filth, hunger and bullying now reigns. Life has stopped, people's only effort is to survive at all costs. The novel is about one of the seven children who were quarantined in the mental hospital in the city, and when they got out of there, they didn't separate. Among them is a woman who is the only one who sees the eyes in the whole city and leads the people in the group. These seven people fight for survival in this hellish city. This chaotic world, depicted by saramago with a tremendous observation power, is the symbol of the dark side of man. Blindness is a spooky novel, a story about how a society that has experienced an unexpected disaster collapses, how it becomes selfish and loses its value judgments. Despite the creepiness of its subject matter, this unforgettable novel, narrated with extraordinary poeticism, is perhaps the most moving artifact of the master writer.
