İthaki Yayınları Madeline Miller Set of 3 (Ben , Kirke # Akhilleus'un Şarkısı # Galateia)

Product description

Kirke book description: the bards always spoke of me as a woman who kneeled in front of the –male– hero and begged for mercy. I would add medicine to their sweet wines, i would enchant and turn the crew of fast-moving ships into pigs, make them forget their father's house, and not allow them to get their bearings. What should we say, telling women their due is the favorite way of spending time for bards

it seems like there wouldn't be a real story if we didn't crawl around and cry. But they are wrong, you are wrong: witchcraft is not born from hatred, envy, or any other kind of evil

i made my first magic from my love.

i am kirke, the witch of aiaie, helios' daughter.

i waited for the tragedy of my life to find me. I had no doubt that i would find it because i had more desire, rebellion and power than others deserved, these were the things that would attract lightning. And one day, i thought, i can't take this world anymore. Then, a voice from the depths of the sea called out: so, my child, create another world.

Madeline miller at ben, kirke Not only does it present the story of mythological characters like odysseus, icarus, the minotaur, prometheus, and zeus, which has been told for thousands of years, but it also manages to convey the world of the olympian gods in the epic style of homer.
