Andrey platonov, the avant-garde of the soviet revolution, never ceased to write as he saw the world. In his eyes, the steps of post-revolutionary russia have always been a place pregnant with new revolutions. Perhaps for this reason, the parti and the stars never reconciled, and the author's rights were not settled until after his death.

pit could only be published in its homeland in 1987. During the great terror period in soviet russia, the well-meaning villagers of a village begin to dig the foundation of a magnificent building that will become a home for all the homeless and homeless people in the world, misunderstanding the directives coming from the center.

they must liquidate the bourgeoisie class and carry out the principles of collectivization. Voşçev, whose mind is overflowing with questions about the aimlessness of creation, tries to get used to the grotesque form that the revolution takes in this village, and also witnesses the transformation of the future that trembles on it. A surreal masterpiece from platonov that doesn't compromise on his political stance regarding the pressures stemming from the great depression. Platonov, a monumental writer who has signed books that deserve a lifetime of study.
