Product description

Yasemin, ali, and eren are three friends clinging to berlin as a new city, hoping to start a life as they wish. "even if they leave istanbul behind, they are in the ""dimly lit house on the third floor of the yellow building"" where they always feel as if they belong to it, and in the ""lives"" they have made in istanbul are with them." Barbaros altuğ sets his novel by blending the political power of the pen with the healing power of friendship. We are fine here, a story of escape -and of course refuge-. “the roadblock set up by the police at the entrance to the bridge had not held

Some people, who hit the streets in their house slippers, were joined by new ones on the way, all of them appearing as one big mass from a distance, but each of them leading completely different lives without even being aware of each other until that moment, were trying to reach taksim by walking together over the bridge in the darkness of the morning. When we tell about what we saw in the sea, our eyes are filled with tears, we are trying to hold ourselves by swallowing our eyes to avoid having this shot. Our eyes kept filling as he told it. After a while, no one cared about spontaneous tears

we were all crying even though we acted like we couldn't see each other. We were not alone - there were those who heard our voice and understood us as we resisted those who sought to isolate, push, and destroy us here, in this park. Meaning we thought it would be enough then.”
