Product description

The year is 1915. The conkbar is preparing for a glorious victory. Everyone asks each other the same question: “is there any news from çanakkale?” just like there is a story of society, every individual whose writing changes has a story worth writing in those days. Ahmet altan tells the story of those years, when a unique spark ignited in every corner of the empire, fueled by clashing ideologies, unspoken sentiments, and unspeakable words.

"on one hand, the story of two brothers being thrown to different ends, on the other hand, the love of the armenian nurse efronya, who was sent to exile with the turkish officer ragıp, hindered by orders, roads, train wagons... in the novel where osman, who ""talks to the dead"", is given the task of both listening and passing on what is told, a multifaceted atmosphere is created by entering the minds of those living in that turbulent period, and the turbulent pages of history are opened in the labyrinthine universe."

the truth was known to the dead.

osman believed it.

“you will learn life from the dead. "efronya once said, ""people don't know anything about life because..." Living in this abandoned mansion, eating the canned food left by one of his family's retainers, wandering from room to room with his grandfather's old-fashioned entarsia, he only spoke to the dead. He had escaped from the cunning tyranny of the time, which was always told to move forward, had given up on life, creatures, and today, he was wandering through the past, where he could see everything he wanted and solve all the secrets, ruling over time.
