"however, namık kemal, in the name of the ""edebiyat-ı sahiha"" he advocated, strived to separate as much as possible from the old with his analyses and depictions, and attempted to address a certain part of the emotions on a human and realistic plane, not imaginatively, unlike the old." We present the original text of "intibah," one of the earliest works in our literature, along with namık kemal's "preface to the last regret," a piece he wrote as an introduction to the novel but never published.
