alusi (d. 1270/1854), the baghdad mufti in the late ottoman period, is a prominent ottoman scholar known for his voluminous interpretation, especially with his works in the fields of language, literature, and exegesis.

in his tafsir, which he wrote during his years as mufti in the ottoman state, he made use of many tafsirs, especially the el-keşşâf of zemahşerî (d. 538/1143) and their commentaries. In addition to this, he has significantly benefited from the alusi beyzavi and his commentaries. It is possible to say that al-ûsî builds on the basis of hâficî's (d. 1069/1659) hâşiyetü'ş-şihâb in particular. As a result, it is a comparative analysis of past classic exegeses. Therefore, reading the alawite tafsir is, in a sense, like reading the content of all the tafsirs written in the past. Therefore, understanding the allegorical interpretation requires being aware of the discussions in the interpretation sources that have been written in the past. Sometimes, zira alusi content himself with summarizing these discussions and expressing his own opinion, sometimes he only points out and refers the relevant discussion to past interpretation literature.

therefore, bringing the work into turkish has required a significant effort. In order for the reader to understand better, the translation of the work has been prioritized not by word translation, but by meaning.

also, explanations have been brought in through square brackets where necessary for the understanding of the topics. Thus, it is as if only the untransmitted alawite interpretation has been given a turkish annotation.
