Ayrıntı Yayınları Philosophy Lessons

Product description

"the french philosopher and writer simone weil (1909-1943), who was referred to by some as ""the greatest mystic of the century"" and by others as a ""revolutionary anarchist"", taught at the roanne girls' high school in 1933-1934." He taught philosophy to a few students in a small, almost invisible corner of the park, away from the school's large buildings, worked in a factory, took part in the republican side in the spanish civil war, and joined the gaullists in london. In this work, thanks to the notes compiled by anne reynaud-guérithault, one of weil's students, we learn the content of these lectures and discover the socratic dialogues of weil, whose short life was intensely devoted to the search for truth.

philosophy courses, which contain examinations ranging from problems related to perception, mind, language, reasoning to issues in moral and political philosophy, are definitely worth reading by anyone interested in basic philosophical questions. Simone weil is the author of a spiritual philosophy based on the dialectic of renunciation of beliefs that deprive man of himself.
