Tolstoy Translator: mete ergin Soon after the writing of war and peace, a giant work that has become a masterpiece of universal literature in a hundred and fifty years, translated into almost all world languages. It is not a novel, not a historical narrative, not a documentary, not a philosophy book, not a sociological study of russian society, not a period novel, not a war or romance novel.

because these are all war and peace.

tolstoy, by breaking the boundaries of literary genres, with this great work, does not lose anything from its literary value and the richness of its narrative, and also breaks the boundaries of different geographies and ages.

in the novel of war and peace, two major wars are considered: the war of 1805-1807 and the war of 1812.

the qualities of these two wars are distinct, and tolstoy has specifically addressed the distinct characteristics of these major conflicts.

since the 1812 war was a national liberation war, the masses of the people also participated in this war, and tolstoy also put the people on the stage in his novel.

as yordam literature, we are proud to present war and peace in a special edition.

louise-aylmer maude's translation, recognized as the 'most successful translation' all over the world, contains character details and biographical information drawn from tolstoy himself.

thus, you will have the privilege of reading this great work under the guidance of tolstoy.

we also bring to you the tolstoy review that hasan âli ediz should be considered as a work in its own right, and his own writing explaining this great work of tolstoy as a valuable part of this special edition.

i will not show a pretentious humility: war and peace is a work like homer's iliad.
