Yordam Kitap Dead lives

Product description

In dead souls, gogol draws an extremely vivid and realistic picture of tsarist russia, where the system of serfdom is still in effect. The story of the cheater çiçikov, who thought of making the slaves who are no longer alive appear alive and gain wealth, is both tragicomic and familiar in some ways. Chicherov, who takes the color of the era in which he is located, the soil on which he presses, just like a chameleon, is almost “one of us”

The ridicule that gogol made with stupidity, greed, and ambition turns into an extraordinary work of art woven with wit. When dead souls was first published, it caused great controversy in russia: is it worse and more dangerous to use living people as slaves or to trade with the dead? This great novel, which carries gogol to the peak of political satirical art, 19

It is considered one of the most successful examples of russian literature of the century

This new translation of dead souls by nuri yıldırım, from the original russian, is not only meticulous and accurate, but also successfully meets the new needs of the changing language. "it is considered to be the most difficult russian writer to translate into foreign languages, and it is a good choice for those who will read gogol with his turkish translation."
