Product description

December 1942... manstein's panthers are trying to get into the front to rescue the troops trapped in front of stalingrad. There is nothing but a river of ice between them and the target. And the soviet army is moving to stop the enemy tanks before they reach this last natural obstacle. Hot snows is not only a war novel, but also a superior work that psychologically deals with the “warrior”. Yuri bondarev, who himself fought as an artillery officer in stalingrad, dedicated his novel to the snows warmed by spilled blood and tears, calling it the hot snows. While reading the book, although they all share the same fate of being soldiers, we actually witness how they have different characteristics, how they react in difficult times, how they sometimes conflict with each other, and how they transform and deepen within the war. In the novel, yuri bondarev paints the picture of the battle of stalingrad, using very different characters. While the events developing at a fairly rapid pace are conveyed to us in fluent language, both from the perspective of ordinary soldiers and the commander who takes responsibility for the entire operation

we are also given a chance to catch our breath with occasional reversals and understand the depth of the events.
