Our publishing house is releasing aleksandr herzen's novel, "whose fault is it?" for the first time in turkey, originally published in 1973. this marks our 50th anniversary edition. As we enter the year, we are presenting it to our readers once again in memory of our precious translator güneş bozkaya.

kabahat kimde is a novel composed of biographies. These biographies are incredibly diverse and rich in both factual accuracy and philosophical depth, offering compelling life stories. the individuals featured aren't mere figments of the imagination

rather, they represent early examples of socially realistic literature. These are materials taken as they are from life, only passed through a master pen and slightly rearranged. Here, readers will find the most relevant and genuinely helpful information they need. Roman is considered one of the first examples of revolutionary russian literature, alongside chernyshevsky's "what is to be done," which was first translated into turkish by güneş bozkaya and published by our publishing house in 1972.

You will start the book with a letter from belinski to herzen from those times and his essay «a look at russian literature in 1847», which is a criticism of the book, and you will end it with the essay «what is oblomovism» by the most famous critic of that time, dobrolyubov.
