Fyodor gladkov was one of the first famous soviet storytellers, a heir to the literary traditions pioneered by maxim gorky. The author wrote six novels and a large number of stories, short stories and articles. Coming from a poor peasant family, gladkov joined the revolutionary movement at a young age, so he was repressed. It played an active role in the october revolution and the civil war.
