Product description

Aslan soldier swaik, one of the world's most famous anti-war novels, takes place during world war i in the austro-hungarian empire. In his novel, jaroslav haşek, with traces from his own life, through humor, shows the absurdity of war, nationalism, military discipline in general. Most of their characters, especially the czechs, are forced to participate in a conflict that they do not understand, for an empire in which they have no loyalty. The character of the swaik, who has repeatedly managed to disappoint military authorities through stupidity or incompetence and use his stupidity in the form of a kind of passive resistance, is a product of this anti-war theme. Jaroslav haşek does this so skillfully that as a reader, we cannot decide whether švayk is really incompetent

or if he is deliberately acting stupid. These funny and unthinkable events reach their climax when the russian uniformed shvayk is mistakenly captured by his own comrades. Mastering imperial and military authority, haşek, soldier aslan şvayk not only reveals the corruption and hypocrisy of the church and religious figures.
