Yar Yayınları Against the Fetishism of Intelligence

Product description

“artificial intelligence is one of the most talked about topics these days.

some people take the rise and spread of artificial intelligence as a positive judgment, and some people take it as a negative judgment. There are those who believe that, contrary to horror scenarios that associate artificial intelligence with human extinction, it will make more accurate and better decisions than humans, who make faulty decisions and have limited cognitive abilities.

according to them, human erroneous decisions are due to insufficient cognitive attributes.

alas, that is not true, unfortunately.

the artificial intelligence developed by human beings is intelligent-rational or non-intelligent-non-rational in some aspects, but as intelligent as human beings themselves.

it is necessary not to have big dreams, because when we do, our disappointments will also be large.

information age, space age, artificial intelligence age, big data age, etc.

phrases that rely on assumptions and inferences about the future.

these are, for the most part, based on technological determinism.

according to these, technology will progress so far as to drag society after it.

watching this tech fetishism.

he is beyond everything, everything comes after technology.

whereas, there is no technology independent of social processes, because neither new inventions nor scientific processes are independent of society.
