summary: Following the orhan kahyaoğlu modern turkish poetry anthology, this time he focuses on the period between 1960-1980 with his book poetic dead end. even the starting and ending years, which mark the coups, have led to the political and social tensions experienced in a historical section, constantly pushing poetic issues to the background. for this reason, subsequent research on the poetry of the period has been quite limited. &nbsp

In "kahyaoğlu, poetik çıkmaz," the poet focuses on the poetry of this period, which has received little scholarly attention, examining not only the poets of the younger generation but also virtually all poets writing within this timeframe. he traces how the currents and trends of both the younger poets and previous generations evolved during this period, while also examining in detail the reactions to the second new poetry, which would become canonized after the 1980s, between 1960 and 1980. &nbsp

The book, presented by yalçın armağan, delves into the poetical-political dilemma, exploring numerous in-poem issues with a historical perspective on the period's literature. &nbsp

Since there were no prominent poems, currents or movements in those years, i tried to focus specifically on the trends and orientations of the new generation of poets. the focus of these trends was sociological-realistic poetry, which had roots extending back to the 1930s. i also encouraged understanding and questioning of the new poetry produced by most accomplished poets coming from currents such as the eccentric and the second new. the poets of the second new, especially in the 1960s, continued to produce new and good poetry, and they seriously emerged to the forefront, shaping the poetry environment through journals. &nbsp
