Summary: Behçet Necatigil adapted his novel Göçebe, translated from Knut Hamsun, for radio in 1973. The play, which exists in typed pages in the archive, is being published for the first time. Necatigil describes Hamsun's Göçebe trilogy, composed of novels titled "Sonbahar Yıldızları Altında," "Hüzünlü Havalar," and "Son Mutluluk," as follows:There are three separate titles for the three parts, but in fact, all three are a “hüzünlü hava”

the hero of all three is the same person. The events are narrated from the perspective of Knud Pedersen, Hamsun's real name. The hero is a middle-aged dreamer who has become weary of the big cities, trying to alleviate his inner troubles in the countryside, forests, and places far from the cities, while wandering in search of his lost youth. He is a soul of a poet who flees the noise and civilization of the city to seek peace and healing beneath the stars in nature, wanting to soothe the lament of his blood in the breath of the countryside. The play, which was broadcast in 12 episodes between September 24 and October 6, 1973, on Istanbul Radio, was directed by Kemal Bekir, with effects by Korkmaz Çakar. Some of the voice artists included Doğan Bavli, Pekcan Koşar, Türker Tekin, Şener Şen, Alev Gürzap, Sadettin Erbil, Hikmet Körmükçü, Savaş Dinçel, Ani İpekkaya, and Erdoğan Gemicioğlu.
