Product description

James baldwin, although overshadowed by his novels for many years, has been rediscovered in recent years and has inspired many writers. in his essays, he emerges as a writer who virtually reinvents this genre of literature with tremendous freedom and creativity, employing many tools from autobiography to interviews and criticism.

No one knows my name, the perfect opportunity to meet the experimentalist baldwin: from harlem and the american south to paris, from faulkner and richard wright to norman mailer and ingmar bergman, there is a writer who always writes with honesty and passion, regardless of the subject or person he addresses, who melts the personal and political in the same pot, and who gives justice to both thought and emotion. While james baldwin's essays are rooted in a specific historical context, they manage to resonate today, remaining both provocative and universal.
