Pomegranate tree in the mountain Yaşar kemal number of pages: 96 size: 13 5 x 21 cm repeat printing: 25 Print / 11 2020 yaşar kemal's “nature "the ""pomegranate tree in the hüyük"", which he says is one of my works that gives human relations in the best sense, is about the drama of the landowners and Transitional workers who became unemployed when the tractor entered the field." The great shadow of capitalism falling on cukurova becomes visible with every line. “here is what makes this novel and many of yaşar kemal’s works powerful: ‘nature’

Hidden in the words of human relations Because yaşar kemal approaches this relationship with a quality that is identical to the most basic, oldest, language-creating ability of a person

Creating myths… apart from the fact that all the elements in the novel “güven turan” called the pomegranate tree in the great are fascinating, yaşar kemal was able to create the cosmos of epic writers with words from outside the universe and microcosmic lives and dreams hidden in anatolia in this novel. Most of yaşar kemal's novels, as stated by the frankfurter allgemeine zeitung (germany), take place in kiliçya, where no bird flies and no caravan passes, in the fertile çukurova where the plague spreads, and even in istanbul, where the lands seem like another world. Taking this extreme, difficult region to the world literature, yaşar kemal creates contemporary works based on old myths he knows very well

”karl Markus gauss, süddeutsche zeitung, (germany)
