Yapı Kredi Yayınları Dede Korkut Oğuznameleri

Product description

Some researchers' remnants of an old, large epic, some parts of which have turned into folk tales of such an epic, and some of which they see as epicized folk tales, the dede korkut oğuznameleri, were written down in an undetermined period and somewhere. It is thought to have undergone quite a few changes from their initial written forms to the texts that have survived today, that is, the writings that are believed to have been written in the 15th or 16th century. In the texts available, these stories are described as tall and oghuzian, and it is said that they were first told by dede korkut, who was born close to the time of the messenger of god muhammad, by reading the copuz and manzum pieces. Events take place in the “time of oguz”, when it is not specified which time

in the “province of oguz”, whose borders are not drawn, where it is not clearly stated where it is located, among the nomadic muslim oguz or among the christians living in the fortresses with them. It is clear from the place names that what is described took place in eastern anatolia, georgia and azerbaijan, and that the georgians and the trabzon rum were those who lived in the fortresses and were defeated in every war. Although a few of the narrations have survived as folk tales in oral tradition, it is clear that written texts did not circulate and survived in very few numbers. In this book, the texts of the oghuznamas in the dresden and vatican manuscripts, which have become quite different from each other in places, are published separately for the first time, with many of the problems resolved and the places that needed to be repaired repaired.
