Yapı Kredi Yayınları Dede Korkut Hikayeleri Bilgin Adalı Devrim Çakır

Product description

From the pen of bilgin adalı, the epic tales of the oğuz...

the tales of dede korkut, who managed to preserve his existence from the 14th and 15th centuries until today, gain a new dimension with his simplified language, poetic structure, and fluent storytelling. "the essence and the word of the entire text belong to dedem korkut, right?" "i am only an intermediary"", says bilgin adalı, calling on young readers to capture the poetry of the oral tradition."

when writing this book, i chose to take a different path than the dede korkut books that had been previously introduced to our language. I tried to capture the hidden poem in the sections that appear as prose in the stories, and wrote the entire text in poetry language.

we can characterize it as an effort of free rewriting of the first texts based on oral tradition, prior to their written down in a sense.
