summary:''well, sailor. Here we are together again, the two of us, in each other's arms.

the world is spinning under our feet, and for now, things are fine.

You don't yet understand that what we share is temporary.

but i understand.

i close my eyes and get it.

’’Claire kilroy creates an unforgettable female character in her extraordinary novel, where the fierce love she feels for her newborn baby in soldier and sailor conflicts with the disruptive change in her sense of identity. The woman, who also faces problems in her marriage, feels isolated and trapped in a life with a baby, begins to ponder over issues such as love, autonomy, togetherness, and responsibility for a long time.If an old friend comes across, it causes their dilemmas to deepen even more. The only thing the young mother, who feels she cannot think healthily, is sure of is that her boundless love for her son is tearing her away from the world she knows and dragging her into an unknown, risky future.

“every woman living on earth will identify with this book.

every man will learn what he should learn from this enlightenment. It narrates the feeling of confinement of motherhood and the molecular pleasures with tremendous skill.

”Sebastian barry“a magnificent work, a wonderful picture of a tiny domestic space.I used to think that i had read a lot about mothers and babies before, but after this novel, i realized that i had not.

autonomy, creativity, power balances that change with the arrival of the first baby in the family, identity loss and dynamics around anger that do not exclude love are very strongly displayed.
