Yapı Kredi Yayınları Abşalom, Abşalom!

Product description

Abshalom, abshalom!, taking place in yoknapatawpha, the “quasi-fictional” area of faulkner, is the story of thomas sutpen's plan, which was eventually ruined by his own sons - to heavily maintain a dynasty in the 1830 s, in mississippi.

The novel, which extends from the holy book to the legend of the south and from there to the chaos of the modern world, creates the impression that it is based on repetitions because different narrators tell the same events over and over again. In fact, by passing through inaccurate descriptions of the truth from the reader, it is expected to be understood more deeply.

a profile of the south written in a high-pitched voice, from faulkner for the reader who loves the hard reading endeavors - as the saying goes by murat belge.
