Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Those Who Write the Poem of Their Own Lives/ casanova–stendhal–tolstoy-stefan Zweig

Product description

In *those who write the poetry of their own life*, stefan zweig tells the stories of three distinct authors – casanova, stendhal, and tolstoy – each with their own unique perspective on life. It observes the lives of these three distinct individuals from a biographical, emotional, philosophical, and humanistic perspective. At first glance, it seems surprising to find the life stories of stendhal, a writer who seeks the origin of every behavior he does and does not do in his own i, a comfortable, immoral man like casanova, and tolstoy, a moral defender, who is a true artist, in the same book. however, zweig brings these three names together with the common denominator of “seeing their own world of i as the most important task of their art.” Those who write the poetry of their own lives are kneaded with a deep taste of literature and philosophy, which dominates all of zweig's works. Stefan zweig was born in vienna on october 20, 1881. His works, including "the three great masters," "those who wrote the poetry of their own lives," and "those who fought with themselves," written between 1920 and 1928, made a significant impact. Zweig, who rejected all kinds of formal awards throughout his life, went to south america for a conference in 1940 and lived there for the rest of his life. On february 23, 1942, zweig, together with his second wife, elisabeth charlotte, chose to die with a deep sense of despair caused by the war, like many heroes of his novels.
