Simon bolivar, the leader of the revolutions that changed the political geography of the american continent, is one of the rare heroes with a country named after him (bolivia).

already described by the south and central americans as a savior while still alive.

the leading historian, john lynch, frees bolivar, who influenced the revolutionary leaders of the 19th and 20th centuries, from being mythified by placing him in his own era and discovers the dynamics of his influence that lasts until our age.

“simon bolivar lived a short but eventful life.

he was a revolutionary who liberated six countries, an intellectual who laid down the principles of national liberation, and a general who led an unrelenting war of colonialism.

it evoked the most extreme feelings of attachment and hatred.

while many lspanish americans wanted him to be a dictator, a king, some accused him of betrayal to the country, and some even tried to kill him.

the memory of bolivar has been both an inspiration for future generations and a constant tug of war.

according to liberal historians, he was fighting against tyranny.

the conservatives have cult it.

the marxists rejected him as the leader of the bourgeois revolution.

bolivar still remains a translator of popular aspirations and is the subject of polemics.

it was owned by the partisans, assimilated by the governments.

the renaissance of the venezuelan as representative of the dictatorial populism, as another interpretation of his leadership, also leaves history with the task of keeping accurate records of history.
