Product description

Plato (428/9-348/7 bc): after receiving the basic education of grammar, music, and physical training of the aristocratic youth of athens, he became a student of the philosopher cratylus, thanks to whom he got acquainted with the works of pre-socratic philosophers. However, the thinker who influenced plato the most is socrates, but the information about where and how the most famous teacher-student duo in history met is contradictory.

from the references in his works, it is understood that his teacher was sixty and he was in his twenties. Plato, who was also interested in politics, gave up this endeavor after socrates' death sentence and focused on developing his mentor's thoughts and establishing his own philosophical system.

in this dialogue, socrates and protagoras discuss whether virtue can be taught in front of a large audience of listeners.
