The most influential thinker plato, however, is the philosopher socrates, but the information about where and how the most famous teacher-student duo in history met is contradictory. It is understood that when they were introduced to the references in their works, his teacher was sixty and he was in his twenties. After the death sentence of plato socrates, who was also interested in politics, gave up this effort and devoted himself to developing the thoughts of his mentor and establishing his own philosophical system. In this dialogue socrates and protagoras discuss whether virtue can be taught in front of a large audience of spectators.
