Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Mutlu Prens

Product description

Although it is thought that oscar wilde wrote the fairy tales in the happy prince, published in 1888, for his sons, the author described his target audience as “people with a childlike spirit, aged seven to seventy, who maintain their childish abilities such as surprise and joy.” Wilde reveals and criticizes selfishness and insensitivity in these tales. Its main fairy tale characters sometimes regret their mistakes and display self-centered behavior. At some point, they cannot get rid of the arrogance that blinds them

Although the happy prince is a product of his apprenticeship period, it demonstrates wilde's mastery in the realm of fairy tales and allegories. ? Promotional text
