Product description

This small book, comprised of aphorisms and essays that halil cibran jotted down in his notebooks and on scraps of paper over time, presents a fragmented "self-portrait" of the artist.

with striking and evocative images from the depths of his soul, he reveals the one who has been "buried in silence" and cannot find an expression of his love, beauty, nature and human condition. Cibran's works, published more than seventy years ago, continue to reach readers around the world today. Undoubtedly, the role of his philosophy, which considers humanity as a whole regardless of race, religion, and language discrimination, is also significant in the spread of his words to all geographies, as well as in the translation of these works into many languages.

and that the messages it gives about people are valid in every period, "eternal- eternal". Following the success of "ermiş," published in 1926, "sand and foam" resonated with the hearts of those contemplating and producing in the 1960s. Beatles member john lennon included lines from this composition in his song "julia," which he wrote for his mother who died in a traffic accident.
