Product description

The book "cat planet," a 216-page work, is considered one of the most important and famous anti-utopian works in chinese literature. The work was first serialized in the xiandai magazine from august 1932 to april 1933. Lao she, with his pessimistic, dark, and sharp wit, tells the story of his hero who falls into the spaceship mars, encountering the cat people and cultures that are rapidly heading towards a cliff. It humorously depicts the political upheaval, corrupt institutions, and a hopelessly apathetic and disillusioned society in cat country, a place where everyone is addicted to the "magical leaf" and rotting away. Despite receiving criticism in its home country due to its gloomy and pessimistic atmosphere, *cat planet* has been translated into many foreign languages and has gained significant popularity beyond china. "cat planet," which the author describes as a "kind of experiment" and says was a reaction to the failures of the era in his country, has ensured that lao she is remembered as one of the most important counter-utopianists in world literature. "cat planet," originally written in chinese, is being published in turkish for the first time.
