Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Karanlığın Yüreği - Modern Klasikler Dizisi

Product description

Conrad tells the story of his experience in the congo in 1890, which deeply affected him in the heart of darkness. "today, the ""hero"" of the work, referred to as a modernism classic, kurtz is dying and saying ""horror!" "the scream of ""horror"" reflects the disappointment and psychological shock that the author experienced in this country, who started his journey with great hopes."

like all great works of literature, heart of darkness has over time gone beyond the text for which its creator intended to write. Despite being a product of the era in which it was written and a novella published in 1899, it has inspired debates that have lasted for generations and continue to this day, despite describing the imperialist exploitation of africa by europeans.

these discussions, which still keep the text alive today, are the discovery of the self of modernity, the search for new forms of narrative, the legacy of colonialism, the construction of social gender, the ecological consequences of imperialism and modernization, etc.

it just rubs around it.

"on the grounds that colonialism stands on the destructive effect on both the colonizing and the colonized, while it is generally praised, it is also described as ""racist"" by some postcolonial african writers. ""heart of darkness"" is one of the most discussed modern literary texts."
