Product description

A letter from an unknown woman: stefan zweig wrote the long story called a letter from an unknown woman (brief einer unbekannten) in the first half of the 1920s. We only know the female protagonist of an unknown woman's letter as the author of a long letter. "the name of the ""sender"" of this letter written by the woman for the man she has loved throughout her life does not exist." "at the beginning of the letter, there is a single address: ""to you, who have never known me""."

the woman is always willing to her great passion as a “unknown”, that is, alone, there is only one “side”, not “sides”, in this love story. Can such a thing be called true love? Once again, zweig beckons his reader on a journey through human psychology rarely traveled by his wife.

it's also a possibility that at the end of this new journey, the concept of “absolute love” aimed to reach the shores unknown so far! The story of a collapse: this extremely striking story of collapse is based on the real life of an aristocratic woman who was quite influential in the french court during the 15th century louis period. One day, madame de prie is overlooked and is taken to normandy by the king. After the bustling and fun days in paris, where he is the power holder and the center of attention, he is waiting for an exil period that is not sure how long it will last, where he will be left alone with himself.

however, power struggles, intrigue and empty court life of entertainment is the only thing that makes sense to its existence. This shallow and arrogant woman, who constantly tends to deceive both herself and those around her, tries to revive her life in paris by organizing flashy entertainments in her mansion. Madame de prie, who has completely lost her ability to think logically, makes an incredible plan to regain all her attention.

In clarissa, which zweig started in the last years of his life, whose draft was brought to light in 1981 and completed by his publisher, describes the state of the world from 1902 until the outbreak of the first world war from the perspective of a young woman.

clarissa, the daughter of an austrian officer, grew up in a convent school, after completing her education, she started working with a famous viennese neurologist. He meets the peace-loving french teacher léonard at a convention in lausanne. They fall in love with each other.

when they are forced to separate because of the war, clarissa is pregnant. Moreover, the father of the baby in her belly is also her enemy. Giving birth to this baby in the fragmented europe where a nationalistic hysteria rages is no longer just a personal decision.
