Product description

The same long text in the old lover, the first novella of leyla erbil, dates from 1973-76. The novella format allows the sensation of these possibilities to be felt even when life is constricted and the possibilities are extinguished one by one.

[in this first novel] the ineffective and alienated mentalism of the modern subject is criticized and ‘demounted’ not by withdrawing from this mentalism, but by taking it further, to the point of

the reviewer is not a salt-and-pepper experience, but that expanded, but ineffective interiority that is constantly aware of its own contradictions and weaknesses. The subject is aware of all spiritual beings, including their own, and is too 'above' to care about that burden, and now is aware of the ultimate fundamentlessness of this transcendence. The 'strawberry' motif first appears here much before the dwarf - to be dismantled. The strawberry figure, who has pulled his hand away from the world and desire, is actually the embodiment of a 'metaphysical desire' (rene girard) that has become too horny to be satisfied with any concrete object.
