Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Doktor Moreau'nun Adası - Modern Klasikler 100

Product description

Since the publication of wells' seminal science fiction classic, the island of doctor moreau, its "shocking" impact has not diminished. The story of the mad scientist who feels no responsibility for the consequences of his scientific methods has inspired unforgettable movies. In his work, which draws attention with its philosophical themes such as pain, cruelty, moral responsibility, and human intervention in nature, wells has anticipated the ethical issues that will arise from studies in the field of genetics. Edward prendick, who survived a sea accident, encounters strange creatures and dark secrets on the island where he is stranded. This island is essentially a microcosm of a universe devoid of morals, where there is no god to supervise humanity and its writings. The island of doctor moreau carries a warning against the potential dangers that can arise when science is out of control.
