Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Descartes 2 Book Set: Conversations on Method - Passions of the Soul

Product description

René descartes, (1596-1650): french mathematician, scientist and philosopher.

the scholasticism is one of the first to abandon aristotelianism.

he is called the father of modern philosophy for formulating the first modern version of the mind-body problem and for being instrumental in the development of a new science based on observation and experimentation. It is the last of the four works that descartes allowed to be published in his health, the passions of the soul. This review, which he published in french a year before his death, is a kind of “will” of the philosopher and the fruit of his entire philosophy. "in descartes' own words, this ""little review"" has a special place by combining and selecting elements from different sections of cartesian philosophy."

with the freedom of will and the distinction of spirit and body functions in general, it is located at the intersection of metaphysics and psycho-physiological science-based morality.
