Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Define Adası | Robert Louis Stevenson |

Product description

Stevenson's first publication, *the isle of the huts*, originally appearing as a serial in a magazine in 1881, has captivated readers of all ages ever since, both with its atmospheric setting and characters, and with the thrilling treasure hunt it describes. It is a story of proving a ruffian, from the perspective of jim hawkins, the coming-of-age narrator of the novel, who played an important role in returning safely from the sea voyage he went on with his adult friends. Because this time, jim faces betrayals, surprise attacks, and bloody collisions. In the novel, john silver, the strongest character who has been portrayed as a butcher, is seen in the author's mocking approach that the concept of "morality" is not always clear and explicit in his actions. The role of the island of define is significant in shaping the popular image of pirates.

When pirates are mentioned today, we owe it to the images of maps with the location of the treasure, tropical islands, and one-legged sailors with their parrots on their shoulders, brought to life, and to numerous film and tv adaptations of the novel that have replicated these images and embedded them in our collective memory.
