Isbn-13: 9786254058530 Author: yevgeni zamyatin Translator: barış zeren A thousand years after the entire globe was subjugated by the one state, the spaceship integral is preparing to leave in order to take under its wing the “wild” beings on other planets. The engineer of the project describes life in the single state in the diary in which he was writing for prospective readers at the bottom rung of the ladder of civilization, right in these days. Modern industrial society has come to such a point that free will is now the cause of unhappiness, and the lives of fellow citizens can be controlled with mathematical certainty based on the efficiency system developed by f. w. taylor. The citizens of the single state, torn out of the primitive wild world by the gigantic green wall, are constantly ruled by the reelected velinimet. They are called by numbers instead of names, they wear sample clothes and are fed with artificial food. Their private lives do not exist. "he has earned the title of ""father of the anti-utopian novel"" for biz zamyatin, which is inspired by aldous huxley's brave new world and george orwell's 1984 novels." The english translation of the novel, published in new york in 1924, was only met with the reader in 1988 in the soviet union.
