Product description

Any jude is one of the most important works of the late victorian literature. In this final novel of thomas hardy from 1895, he tells the story of jude fawley, who dreams of going to university and becoming a scholar and religious man, addressing social issues of the victorian era, especially marriage, church, and educational institutions. The class to which he belongs and poverty are the main obstacles in front of jude's ideals. After adding the wrong marriage choice to these, she falls in love with her free-spirited cousin sue.

hardy has embodied the feminist ideal that emerged in the 19th century into flesh and bone in the character sue, the term new woman, which refers to independent women seeking radical change.

the author's fearless exposure of the doublethink of the victorian era moral

questioning the sacred bond of marriage had caused controversy and hard criticism at the time. The conscience, which plays a decisive role in the novel, sometimes emerges as a punishment for defying religion in the life of jude and sue, who have to struggle with all kinds of difficulties and unfortunate coincidences.

sometimes, they are determined by society, which does not recognize the right to life of sensitive and independent souls.
