Product description

In this novella, which takes place in a provincial town in chekhov, in a mental hospital, it focuses on the philosophical clash between an educated patient, ivan dmitriich, and doctor andrey yevgenyich.

while ivan dmitriich defends the injustices they have suffered, the terrible conditions in which they are forced to live, andrey yevimich insists on ignoring them and not even budging an inch to change the situation. When the doctor finally realizes the 'philosophical' misunderstanding he has fallen into, it is already too late. The sixth ward is the symbol of the 'madness' of the elite russian intellectual, who prefers to watch the problems of russia and the country from a distance rather than deal with them.
