Türk Dil Kurumu Yayınları Tomorrow's Concern

Product description

In today's world, violence, bloodshed, death, terror, and poverty are experienced intensely

in addition to this, a decline in representative liberal democracy on a global scale is observed.

the rise of an inevitable authoritarism in representative liberal democracies is expressed in the word populism.

this authoritarization undoubtedly rises in a more moderate framework than others in advanced and deep-rooted democracies. But in the most developed and deep-rooted democracies, one degree or another of authoritarization can also be observed. This crisis in representative democracy has led to the question of “is fascism returning?” being asked in many circles. If democracy is to be addressed as a structural problem, it can be argued that it would be more consistent to start from the reproduction of capitalism itself, as a world system, from the crisis and from the heavy hegemony of neo-liberal ideology. Populism or the authoritarization of political regimes does not resemble the rise of fascism in the 1930s.

choices are made, the principle of general vote is operating, there are multiple choices before choosing. The crisis of democracy arises in understanding and application related to human rights and the rule of law, or the supremacy of law.

the setback, which has been promised and manifested in virtually every country, shows that a crisis of the world system is taking place, which also covers political life and order.
