Türk Dil Kurumu Yayınları Introduction to Sociology

Product description

The difficulty related to sociology is particularly hidden in the concept of social reality.

society is not a kind of assembly of appearances that can be limited in terms such as plants or language area.

society is more of an entity, like nature or history. Just as every material object is bound by the laws of nature and is counted from nature, just as things that happen around time are unique to history, everything that humans have made, created, and experienced exists in society. The author's main desire is to specify the uniquely sociological way of thinking through these paths and to develop the “sociological perspective” that this science requires, in order to be able to understand the social reality without being distorted or biased.

in the meantime, where appropriate falling places, still carrying a classic value old sociological theories thought ways and objective results have been indicated. In this sense, the book is also considered an introduction to the history of sociology, indicating thinkers from thinkers such as émile durkheim, vilfredo pareto, max weber, auguste comte, herbert spencer, lorenz von stein, wilhelm heinrich riehl.

However, the main focus of the book is not sociological theories and their historical development. Social reality and the current problems within it also concern lawyers, administrators, economists, politicians from the practical side.
