Product description
Bilişsel Psikoloji
This book strikes a successful balance between the classic cognitive-behavioral approach and today's physiology-driven perspective. it explains the fundamental topics and concepts of cognitive psychology, such as "brain and cognition," "perception," "attention," "memory," "imagination," "language," and "thinking," laying the groundwork for more advanced studies. The phenomena and definitions are supported by examples and diagrams, graphs, and photo-like visuals that appear on almost every page. Theories are concretized through experiments and put into practice through applications in daily life. Furthermore, the strengths and weaknesses of each theory are highlighted, offering opportunities for comparison with other theories. When i decided to write this book, based on a survey of more than 500 trainers and conversations with my colleagues, i found that many students find cognitive psychology too abstract and theoretical, and cannot connect with everyday life. I decided to tell the story of cognitive psychology in a tangible way, helping students see the connections between experimental research, cognitive psychology, and everyday experiences. I used real-life examples, case studies, and small experiments in each section. In the 2nd and 3rd editions, i updated the book based on feedback from my students in the courses and over 1500 written requests.
