Product description

A love-strapped istanbul dream.

the novel selin left me, which was valued for the first place in fatih debbağ's 2018 tudem literature awards, reflects the last decade of istanbul

it shares the importance of preserving the cultural and natural heritage of a city from the eyes of children. This multi-layered book, with a plot reminiscent of a movie, tells the story of deniz's abandonment by his beloved daughter, who made the decision to separate her parents

an inspiring story of social solidarity that has become part of turkey's memory. In his writings, the author, who arouses the desire to visit the places mentioned in the book, expresses that one should consider a structure as a whole with its lived experiences and memories, and emphasizes the beauty of preserving and living the past.

for the first time in his life, eleven-year-old deniz is abandoned.

the new friendships formed while tracing the reasons behind this decision give him the opportunity to get to know and understand himself more closely.

he should put aside his selfish behavior and look for ways to regain selin. He starts by trying to turn into an invisible superhero and make those around him happy. As it touches the lives of others, it grows and matures.

at this time, it is not only the sea that is changing, but istanbul is also on the eve of a great change.

Istanbulites are exhibiting an extraordinary example of solidarity for a rooted stadium that is counting days to be demolished, a nostalgic cinema that faces the danger of being turned into a shopping center, and a park that is being tried to be ripped out of the heart of the city center. This thought-provoking novel, which seeks to impart meaning to the daring behaviors of adults through the innocent and clean worlds of children, presents a questioning narrative that points to social consciousness and culture.

highlighting the unifying power of love and solidarity, selin left me behind sows seeds of hope in our souls. Product name: selin abandoned meproduct code: 9786052853177author: fatih debbağyear of publication: 2020cover type: cardboard covernumber of pages: 120paper type: book papertranslator:
