Tudem Yayınları Children of the Puzzle

Product description

With his powerful pen and eloquence, mehmet atilla, one of our literature's sensitive writers, in his brand new book, jigsaw children, describes the fragile lives where hope, struggle, and solidarity intertwine, addressing the significant social realities we have grown accustomed to subverting. We are in a place near aspendos, one of the magnificent cultural and artistic structures of anatolia... these fertile lands, which have witnessed history for thousands of years, are now facing a great human disgrace.

Everywhere are tents set up by agricultural workers, winches that shake the bellies with anchors, and "child workers" who are ripped from their schools and forced to work in the fields... rojin, who struggles to survive with his sister, is one of these child workers who forgot his childhood and was thrown into life at an early age. The only thing that keeps rojin alive throughout the day, working tirelessly in the sun until his sweat turns to dust, is the hope of reuniting with his younger brother revan, whom his father took away years ago and lost track of.

well, but how? The only information he has to find her is that revan sells handkerchiefs or bagels in front of a hospital in izmir...

fortunately, rojin is not alone in this difficult struggle. He has a wise 222-year-old hamisi guiding him, and beautiful friends who tirelessly flap their wings from aspendos to izmir to bring him together with his brother. As time flows and rojin gets closer to his dream day by day, the bleeding wounds of society are deepening. The presence of child workers, who are trying to survive in harsh conditions, is becoming more evident.

The joy of life, which remains in the intestines of these little lives, tossed left and right like pieces of a bad puzzle, is almost knotted in our hearts. . .

Award-winning author mehmet atilla, known for his sensitivity to social issues, expresses this novel through the mouth of a helpful bird perched on the branches of an old olive tree. he enriches the story with inspiring poems, conveying the heart-wrenching meeting story of two estranged siblings in an impressive style.
